Lovely and colorful Art Deco painting picturing Pierrot and Columbine with playing cards, musical instuments, flowers and doves.  By Gaston Andre, a French painter. Born in 1884 died in 1970. Painter of genre scenes, landscape, seascapes, still-still-lifts and animals. He was a pupil of Jean Paul Laurens and Adrien Karbowsky. Gaston Andre exhibited at the “Salon des artistes Indépendants” in Paris between 1910 and 1939. He was one of the greatest decorative artists of the “Belle Epoque”. He painted beautiful woman or those with the raw kind of beauty like Josephine Baker. His decorative compositions are simple and concisely executed. He also created decorative paintings for theatres, cinema, private mansions an the like.
