Art Nouveau bronze vase with nude couple The Kiss. Signed by the American artist Edgar Walter 1877-1938. Patinated bronze.

Edgar Walter is an American sculptor. Born in 1877 in San Francisco. Died in 1938 in the same city. He worked in Paris where he trained with Perrin and Cormon. He taught at the Californian School of Fine Art from 1927 to 1936. He exhibited at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and received an honourable mention in 1901. Work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
