Literature “Dictionnaire des peintres, sculpteurs, dessinateurs et graveurs” by E. Benezit. Gründ. Charles Alexandre Picard Le Doux was born in 1881 in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1904 and later in various other Salons in Paris. In 1937 he was awarded the Grande Medaille at the Exposition Internationale in Paris. He taught at the Academy of Montparnasse. He was friends with Renoir and was best know as a painter of women and nudes.
The artist died in 1959. 
Work in the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.
