“Edgar Brandt master of Art Deco ironwork” by Joan Kahr. These bookends were designed to commemorate the first non-stop east to west crossing of the North Atlantic by plane, which took place on September 1-2, 1930 when Costes & Maurice Bellonte, flew with the "Point d'Interrogation" from Paris to New York.
