From our gallery in Antwerp, we personally select each piece, personally approve its authenticity and send it out into the world carefully packed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. As the exclusive Benelux distributor of Max Le Verrier, we know better than anyone what quality in this field means.

Deconamic? That is Marjolein van der Slikke and her husband Igor. Not a team of twenty people, but two people who do everything themselves and precisely because of that make the difference.

What we do at Deconamic

Deconamic is not a webshop where you simply throw something into your basket. Since 1988, we have been a specialised Art Deco dealer with a carefully composed range of more than 150 objects. Each one selected for condition, authenticity and beauty.

Do you buy something that turns out to look different at home than expected? Then you simply exchange it within fourteen days.

A wedding, an anniversary, a milestone that means something. An Art Deco sculpture or lamp is a gift that does not disappear into a cupboard.

Our objects generally fall within the segment from €700 to €15,000. The largest range is in the price category from €1500 to €6500.

Art Deco is not just a style for us. It is a fascination that has been burning for almost four decades. The pure lines, the masterful craftsmanship, the way a bronze statue can transform a space: it still excites us.

And nowhere is that passion expressed more than in our work with Max Le Verrier.

Max Le Verrier was one of the most influential French sculptors of the Art Deco period. His designs – from graceful figurines to impressive salon lamps – are still made today by his great-grandson, in the original moulds and with the same artisanal craftsmanship. Pure, authentic and timeless.

Deconamic is the exclusive distributor for the Benelux and that is no coincidence. The Le Verrier family came to us because they saw how for years we have been bringing their heritage to the market with care and knowledge.

By the way, distinguishing a fake piece from an original is not something you do on the basis of a checklist. You do that with your hands, your eyes and years of experience. Every piece that leaves Deconamic has passed that inspection.

We guide you personally, from the first question to delivery at your door. No automatic emails, no call centre, simply Marjolein, in your language (Dutch, French, English or German).

• You discover a piece on our website or contact us with a specific question
• Upon request, we send extra photos, also in high resolution via Dropbox to view every detail
• We discuss size, condition, patina and how the piece comes into its own best in your space
• When you subscribe to our newsletter, you receive 10% discount on every purchase – not once, but always
• Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, PayPal or Stripe
• Igor packs everything with the greatest care and ships via DHL with tracking number and insurance

Visits by appointment are always possible in our gallery on the Mechelsesteenweg in Antwerp.

The faces behind Deconamic

Marjolein van der Slikke started Deconamic in 1988, at the age of eighteen, immediately with a clear vision. Her husband Igor, descendant of a family of antiques dealers, assists her in everything that has to do with the objects themselves: cleaning, restoring, electrifying and expertly packing for shipment.

They select new purchases together, with the knowledge and eye that you only build up by truly living for it.

Deconamic is not an anonymous company. If you ask a question, Marjolein answers. If your package leaves, Igor packed it. That personal touch makes the difference.
