Art Deco bronze sculpture terrier dog bookends

Art Deco bronze bookends in the shape of terrier dog busts by the French artist Maximilien Louis Fiot, 1886-1953. The sculptures have a beautiful patina and are signed by the artist as well as by the founder, Susse Freres. The dog sculptures are cast in the so called lost wax technique, Cire perdue.
