Beautiful Art Deco oil painting of a typical Italian village with palm trees by the artist Cesare Bonanomi, born in Piacenza, Italy in 1875.  Painter of portraits, genre scenes and landscapes. Bonanomi exhibited in Paris at the Salons des Artistes Indépendants from 1912, at the Society Nationale des Beaux Arts from 1913 and at the Salon d’Automne from 1913 to 1938. His Italian landscapes feature marked lines that separate the flat colour washes laid down in the manner of Nabis painters.
