Buy Max Le Verrier lamps at Deconamic: Art Deco sculptural lamps

Light is more than function. In the 1920s and 1930s, Max Le Verrier understood that better than anyone. Electricity opened up a new artistic domain: powerful, sculptural, and fully controllable. Where others saw only technical progress, Le Verrier saw a way to fuse beauty and light.

He designed lamps that don’t just illuminate, but enchant. Graceful female figures carry glowing spheres and bowls, as if offering light itself. The result? Sculptures that still fascinate, nearly a century later.

At Deconamic you’ll find Max Le Verrier lamps as they were meant to be: cast in the original moulds, signed, and certified. No imitations, no compromises, only stunning Art Deco lamps that bring history and craftsmanship into your interior.

Max Le Verrier lamps are iconic models with character

From statement pieces to intimate ambient lighting, each model has its own personality and place in the home.

Clarté life-size (160 cm): Max Le Verrier Clarté life-size 160 cm monumental bronze Art Deco sculptural lamp

Clarté: the Art Deco lighting icon

When you think of Art Deco lamps, you think of Clarté. Max Le Verrier created this masterpiece in 1928: a nude woman with the iconic “garçonne” haircut, holding a lit globe aloft. That short, boyish bob symbolised the modern woman, the flapper who lived freely, confidently, and elegantly. The sculpture radiates strength, timeless beauty, and the spirit of the Roaring Twenties.

Le Verrier used three different models: his niece for the head, a dancer from Joséphine Baker’s troupe for the legs, and the torso? That remained a secret. Clarté has been exhibited at the Centre Pompidou, at Harrods, in Hôtel Lutetia, and at the Martinez in Cannes.

Clarté (85 cm): Max Le Verrier Clarté lamp 85 cm, Art Deco sculptural lamp with illuminated globe

Clarté comes in four sizes:

  • Clarté life-size (160 cm): a monumental bronze artwork for grand spaces and collectors.
  • Clarté (85 cm): a true showpiece on a console, mantelpiece, or in a spacious entrance hall. Perfect for Art Deco interiors, but also a strong statement in modern settings, ideal if you want one object that immediately “sets the tone”.
  • Lumina (65 cm): beautiful on a sideboard, occasional table, or in a corner where you want atmospheric light. Keeps the unmistakable Clarté presence, yet is easier to place in smaller rooms. Looks stunning alongside wood, marble, or brass.
  • Lueur Lumineuse (38 cm): ideal for a bedside table, desk, or narrow shelf. An accessible way to bring a Max Le Verrier into your home, perfect as warm accent lighting in a reading nook or bedroom.

Espana: dancing lightness

Espana, designed by Raymonde Guerbe, brings the vibrancy of a Spanish dancer into your interior. This 52 cm sculpture looks best on a sideboard, console, or in a niche. Its movement adds energy to the space.

Max Le Verrier Énigme lamp 44 cm, Art Deco lighting with illuminated globe

Énigme: mysterious allure

Énigme is mysterious, subtle, intriguing. This 44 cm lamp with a lit globe was, together with Clarté, one of the most sought-after pieces in the 1930s. Ideal for softer, intimate light in a living room, library corner, or bedroom.

Danseuse à la coupe: Max Le Verrier Danseuse à la coupe 62 cm, Art Deco lamp, woman with glass bowl

Danseuse à la coupe: the first dancer

In 1923, Max Le Verrier created his first dancer from a live model. Through an advertisement in Paris, he met a 19-year-old girl, a former dancer at the Folies Bergère. She proved to be the perfect embodiment of the graceful, modern Art Deco woman.

Alongside a fee, Le Verrier gifted her a bronze sculpture. Fifty years later, she returned to pass the lamp on to her grandchildren, an moving story that underlines its timeless appeal.

This 62 cm Danseuse à la coupe is perfect as a conversation piece. The blend of sculpture and light suits glamorous Art Deco settings as well as eclectic interiors with vintage accents.

Sérénité: calm and balance

Sérénité, designed by Fayral, brings serenity to your interior. At 46 cm tall, this lamp radiates calm without being showy. Ideal for a quiet living room, bedroom, or a stylish entrance.

Délassement lumineux: Max Le Verrier Délassement lumineux 24 cm, small Art Deco lamp with globe, marble base

Délassement lumineux: intimate lighting

At 24 cm, Délassement lumineux is the most intimate lamp in the collection. Small enough for a desk, bedside table, or side table, yet it instantly adds a touch of Art Deco. Small in size, big in character, and beloved for its warm, tranquil glow.
